CLICA (Computer Literacy and Innovation Centre for Adults) is a training institution that provides practical and user-friendly computer literacy courses for adults. Our programs are designed to bridge the digital divide and help individuals acquire essential digital skills for personal and professional growth.
2. Who can enrol in CLICA’s courses?
Our courses are open to:

3. Do I need any prior computer experience?
No, our courses are designed for beginners as well as those who want to enhance their existing computer skills. We start with the basics and progress to more advanced topics.
4. What will I learn in the computer literacy course?
Our comprehensive training covers:
- Module 1: Computer Basics (Hardware, Software, Operating Systems)
- Module 2: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, PDF Editing)
- Module 3: Cloud & Web Applications (Google Drive, OneDrive, Zoom, AI Tools)
- Module 4: Cybersecurity (Digital Safety, Antivirus, VPNs)
You will gain hands-on experience and practical knowledge to use computers effectively.
5. How long is the course?
We offer two flexible learning options:
- 5-Day Intensive Course (Monday–Friday, 6 hours per day)
- 5-Week Weekend Course (Every Saturday, 6 hours per session)
6. Is the course accredited?
No, our course is not accredited, but it is comprehensive and industry-relevant. Many students, including those with accredited training, enrol with us to gain practical, job-ready digital skills. A Certificate of Completion is awarded at the end of the course.
7. How much does the course cost?
The course fee is R2500 per student. This covers all materials, hands-on training, and a Certificate of Completion upon successful completion.
8. Can I take the course online?
Yes! We offer virtual classes for students who cannot attend in person.
Requirements for virtual classes:
- Windows 10 PC or newer
- Microsoft Office 2016 or newer
- Stable internet connection
- Zoom & Microsoft Teams
9. How many students are in a class?
To ensure personalized attention, each class is limited to 10 students. This allows for a better learning experience with direct instructor support.
10. Can organizations enrol multiple employees for training?
Yes! We offer corporate and group training for:
- Companies looking to upskill employees
- Schools and educational institutions
- NGOs and government organizations

11. Do I need to bring my own laptop?
No, laptops will be provided for use in class. However, students are encouraged to bring their own devices if they want to practice outside of class hours.

We are based in Mpumalanga, Gauteng, and Limpopo, but thanks to our mobile and online training model, we can offer courses nationwide.

At this stage, we require full payment before the course starts. However, we do accommodate group bookings and corporate clients with flexible payment plans.
